러시아의 산업경쟁력 분석과 한․러 산업협력 전략

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze industrial competitiveness of Russia and then, establish strategies of industry cooperation between Korea and Russia. Russia’s Competitiveness in the most of industry except mining sector during the late five years was weakened. This means diversification of industries, which is established the most important policy by Russian government, was failed in the most of industries. Also, through the estimation of core external and internal factors of economic cooperation between Korea and Russia, it was turned out that even if Korea has internal factors were above the average, Korea is responding below the average to opportunities and threat of economic cooperation with Russia. That is, the main result of this study is that Russia, had experienced fault of industries diversification policy, needs to cooperate with Korea, has competitiveness of manufacturingindustry, however, Korea failed to cooperate with Russia even thought it has strengths to maximize its opportunities and minimize its threat. We provide some strategies of industry cooperation between Korea and Russia in the mid-long term perspective based on these analyses of industrial competitiveness and environment for economic cooperation, these are energy and resource development cooperation, industry cooperation supporting its diversification in Russia, infrastructure development cooperation, and expanding export market. To realize industrial cooperation with these strategies, it has to be considered the phase of long term development strategies of Russian Far East as supplementation strategy. We also provide the importance of attracting investment from Russia because FDIs of Russian enterprises are increasing rapidly in these days. Finally, to expand Korea-Russia industrial cooperation, two countries have to contract FTA as soon as possible.
