한중일 3국간 생산 및 무역의 스필오버효과 변화 분석- 제조업을 중심으로 -

초록

본 연구는 한중일간 경제관계의 글로벌화 및 무역관계 긴밀화에 따른 산업 생산 및 무역의 의존관계 심화 현상을 토대로, 3국간 제조업의 스필오버효과를 분석하여 3국의 생산 및 무역이 어떠한 경로를 거쳐 상대국의 생산 및 무역을 얼마만큼 유발하고 있는가를 고찰하였다. 분석결과, 한중일 제조업의 스필오버효과는 3국 가운데 한국이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 중국, 일본 순으로 관찰되었다. 이는 한국의 대중 및 대일 의존도가 상대적으로 크다는 것을 의미하며, 반대로 자국내 생산유발효과가 작다는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 또한 3국간 스필오버효과의 방향, 즉 생산과 무역의 유발경로를 보면, 2010년 이전에는 「중국은 일본으로, 일본은 중국으로, 한국은 일본으로」형태가 유지되었으나, 2010년 시점에서는 「중국은 한국으로, 일본은 중국으로, 한국은 중국으로」형태로 전환되었다. 이는 한중일간 경제관계에 있어 중국의 비중이 과거에 비해 크게 높아졌음을 의미한다. 아울러 3국간 스필오버효과는 직접적 효과가 압도적으로 높게 나타났으며, 최근에 이르러 미미하지만 간접적 효과도 증가하고 있어, 향후 한중일간 제조업의 상호 의존관계는 더욱 심화될 것으로 예상된다.

Abstract

This paper based on an analysis of the Asian International Input-Output Table (1990, 2000, 2010), focuses on analyzing the structural changes in spillover effect of production and trade among Japan, China and Korea. Considering the industrial linkage structures of the three countries, special attention was paid to the manufacturing industry. In particular, we measured the Leontief Inverse Multiplier of Korea, China, and Japan. The empirical analysis suggested the following points: Japanese and Chinese manufacturing industries in general have highly self-sufficient structures, so that they tend to induce relatively less production abroad. Korea has a relatively high reliance on foreign countries and a small domestic effect. Unlike in the past, Korea and Japan imports high value-added products from China. This means that the competitiveness of Chinese manufacturing has improved greatly. Finally, the Production and Trade linkage in the electronics industry between Korea, China and Japan was found to be significantly tight, which implies that the three countries' interdependence in the industry has been deepening, and that China is rapidly upgrading its industrial structure and catching up with Korea and Japan.
