맑스(K. Marx) 자연개념의 생태주의적 함의 -셸링(F.W.J. Schelling)의 유기체적 자연관과의 관련성을 중심으로-

이 글은 자연과 인간의 공생적 관계 창출을 모색하기 위한 철학적 시도의 일환이다. 이를 위해 이 글은 셸링(F.W.J. Schelling)과 맑스(K. Marx)의 ‘자연’개념을 고찰한다. 셸링과 맑스는 각각 관념론과 유물론이라는 서로 다른 철학적 지반에 서 있기는 하지만, 동일한 자연관을 공유하고 있다. 그들은 자연을 자기 조직적이고 활동적인 유기적인 총체로서 규정함으로써 자연을 생명 없는 단순한 물질적 집적체로 간주하는 근대적 도식과 결별한다. ‘자연의 절대적인 생산성을 자연 안에 정립함을 자연철학의 제 1요청’으로 요구하고, 이를 통해 자연을 근원적인 생산성의 관점에서 파악하고자 하는 셸링의 자연관은 ‘인간의 활동을 자연의 활동’으로 파악함으로써 자연을 생산적 활동의 주체로서 정립하는 맑스의 자연관과 공명한다. 또한 ‘단순한 생산물로서의 자연과 생산성으로서의 자연’을 동일한 자연의 이중화된 표현으로 고찰하는 셸링의 자연관은 ‘자연을 인간의 비유기적 신체’ (unorganischer Leib)로 규정하면서 자연산물 속에서 자연력의 일부인 인간 힘의 발현을 보고 있는 맑스의 이중적 자연 규정을 선취하고 있다. 셸링과 맑스는 자연을 근원적인 생산의 원천이자 주체로 바라보고 있다는 점에서 탈근대적 자연관의 선구적인 정초자라고 할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 인간과 자연의 공생적 삶의 실현을 위한 풍부한 철학적 단초를 제공하고 있다.
Abstract
The study investigates ‘nature’ concept of F.W.J.Schelling and K. Marx as one of philosophical attempt to explore creation of relationship for coexistence of nature and human. F.W.J.Schelling and K. Marx defined nature as a positive subject and organic whole, and went through with bold breakaway from modern thinking paradigm based on mechanism. From this, they provide abundant philosophical beginning to realize symbiotic life of human and nature. F.W.J.Schelling and K. Marx make a theme of nature concept from philosophical frames of problem called idealism and materialism respectively which are different each other. But two philosophers define nature as self-organizing organic whole, so broke with modern scheme where nature is considered as simple lifeless material accumulation. View of nature requires ‘establishing of nature’s absolute productivity within nature as the first requirement of natural philosophy’. Through this, the view attempts to define nature from viewpoint of fundamental productivity. View of nature by F.W.J.Schelling sympathizes with view of nature by K. Marx who defines nature as subject of productive activity. View of nature by F.W.J.Schelling sees nature of simple product and nature of productivity in double expression about same nature. The view defines ‘nature as human non-organic body(unorganischer Leib)’ Thus, F.W.J.Schelling preempts double regulation on nature by K. Marx who sees revelation of human power in the midst of products of nature. It could be said that F.W.J.Schelling and K. Marx are pioneers to establish postmodern view of nature in that they see nature as source and subject of fundamental production.
