초록
In this paper, we propose a two-player puzzle escape game where players cooperate using two-way radios (walkie-talkies) in the separate locations: a prison and a tower. To provide a variety of engaging experiences, the proposed game includes several types of puzzles: a dyeing puzzle, an animal puzzle, a hidden lever puzzle, a chess puzzle, a hexagram puzzle, a jumping map puzzle, and a maze map puzzle. In the proposed game, one player searches for hints while the other solves puzzles based on the hints. The players must work together, and their roles can switch depending on the puzzle. To balance accessibility and challenge, the game includes the puzzles of varying difficulty, ranging from simple ones that take less than 2 minutes on average, to more complex ones that require over 16 minutes to solve. Experimental results show that most players do not give up and complete the game, even though it takes over an hour to finish. This is likely due to the high level of immersion and enjoyment the game provides.
