경영학 수업에서의 액션러닝 적용 사례연구: 성찰저널을 통한 효과성 분석을 중심으로

경영학은 조직을 보다 효율적이고 효과적으로 운영할 수 있도록 가르치는 실용 학문의 성격을 가지고 있다. 이 점에서 이론 중심 또는 일방향 주입식 교육보다는 실무와의 연계가 중요시되는 학문이라 할 수 있다. 경영학의 학문적 특성을 고려할 때 액션러닝이 경영교육을 위한 교수학습방법으로 강조되고 있다. 본 연구는 조직행동론이라는 경영학과 교과목을 액션러닝으로 운영한 사례를 분석하여 제시한 것으로 경영학 분야에서 액션러닝이 어떻게 활용될 수 있으며 그 효과는 어떠한지 제시하였다. 학습자들은 팀을 나누어 실제과제를 해결하였고, 실제과제를 해결한 후 자신들이 학습하고 경험한 내용을 성찰저널에 작성하였다. 학습자들의 성찰저널 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습자들은 액션러닝으로 운영된 조직행동론 수업에서 팀 활동, 조직행동론의 주요 학습내용, 문제해결, 학습방법에 대한 것을 배우고 느낀 것으로 나타났다 둘째, 학습자들은 액션러닝으로 운영된 조직행동론 수업 후 향후에 문제해결, 타인과의 관계, 자기개발 영역에 해당하는 사항들을 실천할 것이라고 하였다. 학습자들은 액션러닝으로 이루어진 수업에서 경영학교육에서 중요하게 강조하는 이론과 실무를 연계할 수 있는 내용을 학습하였으며 이를 실천할 것이라고 밝혀 본 수업의 전이효과도 매우 클 것으로 기대할 수 있다. 액션러닝은 경영학교육을 위한 효과적, 효율적 방법이며 나아가 다른 학문 분야의 교수학습방법으로도 확대 활용해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해 교수자들은 액션러닝에 대해 바르게 이해하고 이를 실천하여 사회가 원하는 역량있는 인재를 양성할 수 있도록 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.
Abstract
Business management education is practical one that teach students how management principles are appropriately applied to the real organization so that the organization could operate more efficiently and effectively. Thus, lecture-oriented and cramming education has limited to improve management and administration capabilities of the learner. Action learning has been proposed as an alternative to traditional approaches of management education and development in that management is a practical science. This study analyzed a class of Organizational Behavior conducted in action learning and identified how to conduct a class in action learning and it's educational effectiveness. Each learning team challenged to solve a problem of an organization and learners wrote in a reflective journal what they learned from the experience. Learners' reflective journals were analysed and the results are as follows. First, students experienced various effects of action learning, such as team working, majors topics of organizational behavior, problem-solving skills in the process of performing tasks. Second, they reported also that they would practice what they learned in class such as problem-solving, relationship with others, in real life. This reveals that the spillover effects of this class can be expected to be very large. So we can conclude that action learning can be a effective teaching and learning methods for business administration. However, there have been several difficulties and problems during the action learning process. So, the discussion and implication of it were provided.
