교수학습 체제로서의 University 2.0 적용을 위한 학습자와 교수자 요구분석 사례연구

초록

본 연구에서는 유니버시티 2.0 도입 전 대학구성원들의 다양한 요구를 파악하고 환경을 점검하기 위하여 요구분석을 실시하였다. 유니버시티 2.0은 대학사회가 개방, 공유, 참여 정신을 표방하는 사용자 중심의 웹 2.0 체제를 내부로 유입하여 교수학습 체제로 활용함을 나타내는 개념이다. 요구조사로 국내 K 대학교 바이오나노 대학 학습자 10인에 대해서는 포커스그룹 방법을, 교수자 13인에 대해서는 개방형 문항들을 포함한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사결과, 학습자 집단은 유니버시티 2.0의 성공적 운영을 위해서는 새로운 교수학습체제를 지원할 수 있도록 대학 내의 학사, 행정 및 평가 체제가 변화되어야 하며, 학습자 참여 동기와 미디어 활용능력을 고려해야한다고 지적하였다. 교수자들은 개방적인 유니버시티 2.0 환경에서의 저작권 문제와 수업 부담 가중 문제를 지적하였다. 또한 학습자들은 학습과 평가 과정에서 보다 능동적 역할을 수행하기를 원하였으나, 교수자들은 지식 전달과 평가 주체로서의 교수자 역할을 보수적으로 견지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 교수학습 체제로서 유니버시티 2.0의 성공적인 운영을 위해서는, 이와 같이 사업 초기에 구성원들의 서로 다른 다양한 요구들을 파악하고 의견을 수렴하는 요구분석 절차가 필수적이다.

Abstract

This study is to investigate the different views of faculty and students on adopting web 2.0 technology-based medium for teaching and learning. Needs assessment employing a focus group for students and a survey for faculty members was implemented. How the gap between these two affects the implementation of the university 2.0 system remains to be answered after launching the system. As web 2.0 is a social-relationship-based technology with openness, participation, and sharing, the university 2.0 system can be made effective by facilitating a more cooperative, learner-centered learning. The professors raised issues such as copyright, evaluation and technical support for teaching in sharing coursewares and materials on the web. On the other hand, learners expected that a more flexible evaluation and curriculum system would be helpful. Considering these differentiated needs of both, implementation of technology has to be carefully planned and monitored based on needs assessment.
