본 연구의 목적은 탈 지평확대의 관점에서 스케일에 따른 초등 지리 내용 구성 방안을 강을 사례로 모색해보는 것이다. 스케일에 따라 상세화 정도를 달리한 설문지를 통해 초등학생들의 스케일 선호도와 스케 일에 따라 선호하는 학습 내용을 조사하였고, 아울러 그 요인을 분석해 보았다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 초등학생들은 세계스케일에 관한 내용을 가장 배우고 싶어 했다. 전체적으로 저학년일수록 내용에 대한 흥미가 주된 이유였지만, 고학년일수록 지식 요인의 영향이 컸다. 둘째, 저학년일수록 세계에 대해 단순하고 외적인 내용을 배우고 싶어 했고, 고학년일수록 고장이나 국가에 대해 더 자세하게 더 깊이 알고 싶어 하는 경향이 강했다. 세계에 대한 내용은 흥미가 주된 이유였고, 고장에 대한 내용일수록 경험이나 생활 측면이 주 된 이유로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine elementary geography content organization plan onscale from focus of moving beyond widening horizons on the contents of river. The result of this researchas follow. First, elementary school students most wanted to learn the contents on a global scale. As a gradeascended from third grade to sixth grade, students preferenced learning contents because of intelligentfactors than interesting factors. Second, primary-grade students wanted to learn simple and externalcontents on global scale. As a grade is high, students wanted to learn more deeply and profoundly onnational scale or local scale. Students wanted to learn contents on global scale because of interests. Ascontents are things on local scale, students wanted to learn contents because of factors concerned with experience or life.
