지리교과에서의 행복교육을 위한 공간과 행복의 관계 탐색

초록

본 연구는 지리교과에서 행복교육의 접근 방향을 모색하기 위한 시론적 고찰로, 공간과 행복의 관계를 탐색하였다. 먼저 교육 대상으로 바람직한 행복 개념을 명료화한 후 행복의 조건이 행복에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 그리고 공간과 행복의 관계를 행복의 기준과 행복의 조건 측면에서 각각 고찰하였다. 공간은 물리적 환경이상으로 인간의 행복에 깊이 개입하였다. 행복의 기준은 특정한 공간을 기반으로 작동하는 문화와 제도의 영향을 받아 사회-공간적으로 구성되었으며, 거주 공간으로서의 장소는 인간의 욕구 충족에 필요한 다양한 자원을 제공하고, 심리적 안정감을 주며, 타인들과의 관계를 매개하였다. 장소는 그 자체로 행복의 조건으로 기능했다.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between space and happiness in order to establish the approach direction of happiness education in geography subject. First, after clarifying the concept of happiness desirable as an object of education, the effect of the conditions of happiness on happiness was examined. And the relationship between space and happiness was examined in terms of the criteria of happiness and the conditions of happiness respectively. Space has deeply intervened in human happiness beyond the physical environment. The criteria of happiness has been socio-spatially constructed under the influence of culture and institutions that operate on a specific space. As a residential space, the place provided various resources needed to meet human needs, gave a psychological sense of security, and mediated the relationship with others. The place itself functioned as a condition of happiness.
