교육 평가에 새로운 대안으로 수행평가에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며 교육 현장에서도 그 적용이 확대되고 있다. 수행평가는 교수-학습이 진행되는 중에 교사가 학생들의 반응을 관찰하고 판단한 것을 기록하거나 평정하는 과정 중심의 평가이다. 그리고 평가의 방법도 단순서술형에서 시작하여 프로젝트형, 포트폴리오 등의 다양한 도구를 평가에 이용할 수 있다. 수행평가는 기존의 학생의 선발과 분류를 목적으로한 표준화된 지필고사의 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 효과적인 교육 평가이다.수행평가가 이와 같은 장점을 가졌지만 한편으로는 교사의 관찰과 판단에 의해 평가가 이루어지므로 신뢰성이나 객관성이 부족하다는 견해가 제시되고 있다. 이 연구는 수행평가를 실제 지리 교육에 적용해 보고 과연 수행평가가 평가 도구로서 적절한지를 검토해 보았다.본 연구에서는 포트폴리오를 이용하여 학생들의 행위를 평가한 다음 이를 지필고사의 점수와 비교하였다. 그 결과 두 점수사이에 높은 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 즉 수행평가가 지리 평가에도 적절하며 신뢰성과 객관성에도 문제가 없는 평가라는 사실을 증명하고 있다.
Abstract
As an alternative proposal in an educational assessment, a study of the performance assessment is briskly processing and has enlarged it in educational fields. Performance assessment is a process-focused assessment written or rated by teachers’ observation and judgement while teaching-learning activities are performed. And you can use lots of assessment methods like simple-description, projects, portfolio and so on. Performance assessment is an effective educational assessment which can overcome the problems of standard written examination for the purpose of students? selection and classification.Though performance assessment has benefits like this, opinions has presented it lacks the responsibility and objectivity because of this performed by only teacher?s observation and judgement. This study applies performance assessment to a geography education, so that a researcher checked the appropriateness of it as an assessment instrument. This study comparatives students’ behaviors with written test grade using the Portfolio assessment. As a result of analysis, it has high correlation between two factors. In result performance assessment is appropriate for the geography assessment and there was no problems in responsibility and objectivity.
