지역의 자연환경 분석과 지리교육에의 적용

지역성을 파악하는데 필요한 기초적 정보인 위치, 지질, 지형, 기후, 식생, 토양, 수문, 경관 등 자연환경을 접근하는 연구 방법의 발달사, 분석 방법, 자료 등을 검토하였다. 지역의 자연환경 분석하기 위해서는 과학적이고 문제 중심적이며 종합적인 분석이 필요하다. 이에따라 경관생태적인 접근방법을 제안하고 지리교육 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 자연환경 조사 방법과 관련 자료를 제시하였다.지역의 자연환경을 성공적으로 분석하기 위해서는 지역의 가시적인 사물에 의하여 만들어진 경관과 비가시적이지만 지역의 특성을 규정짓는 현상의 공간적 분포와 유형, 그 내부 구조를 기원, 발생, 변천을 중심으로 시ㆍ공간적 형성과정을 해석하고, 자연 및 인문 환경과의 역동적인 기작을 인과론적인 관점에서 분석하여 지역성을 밝히는 경관생태적인 접근방법이 필요하다. 지역의 자연환경을 경관생태적으로 종합 분석하면 과거의 지리를 복원하고 현재의 경관을 이해하고 미래의 환경을 예측할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This work aims to review the history of regional analysis, methodology and data sources of regional geography, especially in connection with physical environmental system. and by doing so intend to propose the improved methodology and relevant informations for the study physical environment in the field of geography education. For the better understanding of regionality of area, various physical environmental elements, such as, geographical location, geology, land-form, climate, soil, flora, vegetation, fauna, water and landscape should be included.Landscape ecological approaches are recommended for the scientific and problem-oriented synthetic analysis of a geographical distribution, structure and time-spatial changes of both the visible materials and invisible phenomena of the area. Causal and dynamic approaches on the mechanism of physical system and human activities also needed to solve an environmental issues. Landscape ecological approach may help to reconstruct past geography, understand present environment and predict future environment.
