초록
Reliable radionuclide analysis of activated metals and concrete waste generated during nuclearpower plant decommissioning is an essential procedure for ensuring radiological safety and establishing disposalstrategies. In particular, the long-lived activation products 59Ni and 63Ni are difficult to analyze, requiring expensiveinstrumentation, which poses limitations to quantitative analysis. In this study, eight analytical cases conductedon research and power reactors, both domestic and abroad, were reviewed, and the measured and calculated ratiosof 59Ni and 63Ni concentrations were compared. As a result, it was confirmed that, based on the known 59Ni and63Ni ratio (≃144) derived from previous studies and core history-based activation calculations, this ratio can beused as a constant for predicting one value when the other is known, provided that an allowable margin of error isapplied. These results are expected to contribute as a supplementary tool for the analysis of the difficult-to-measureradionuclides 59Ni and 63Ni, thereby facilitating the efficient classification and management of radioactive waste.
