Abstract
Sometimes the development of new concepts accelerated the solution of the problems of dominant concept in science history. The aims of this research is to analyze 9, 12, 13th students' concept of these accelerating concepts in evolution. The test was developed according to accelerating components of evolution concept change extracted by Lee(2004) - thought of population, genetic concept, and mechanism of variation by sexual reproduction and mutation. Responses are divided by type and stage(Lee, 2004) based on science history. As a result, many students do not have the thoughts of population and believe the inheritance of acquired traits. They do not relate the genetic concept and mutation concept to natural selection concept. They have similar misconceptions and disputes which scientists had in transition time between stage 2(La mark) and stage 3, 4(Darwin, After Darwin). As these concepts promoted the development of evolution concept in science history, these must be essential concepts to solve students' difficulty in entire understanding of evolution concept.
