Abstract

Veterans honors and reciprocates the noble will of those who sacrificed their bodies and minds for the country. It is the duty of our descendants to love the Republic of Korea more and make it a better country in honor of their sacrifice and contribution. In the face of the Korean War, which began with North Korean aggression, South Korea has received support from countries that participated in the UN war, and has the unique value of 'international veterans'. Korea has now achieved economic advancement and political democratization, and has gone from being a recipient country to a helping country. This thesis first diagnoses the Korean War and the peculiarities of Korea's patriotism and patriotism. Based on this, a study was conducted on how to strengthen international veterans in terms of defense diplomacy. The Ministry of National Defense is conducting defense diplomacy in various ways through international security cooperation, defense exchange and cooperation activities, and international peace activities. However, from the perspective of international veterans, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs need to revitalize the role of the United Nations war veterans and war veterans, and it is meaningful to study this. This study sought ways to revitalize international veterans with UN war veterans and veterans by using various veterans networks. In particular, the role of the Veterans Association, a 'public law veterans organization' of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and Veterans Affairs, and the activities of the Ministry of National Defense's reservist human resources such as foreign military officers and those who have been dispatched to military service, and related cases are presented. Lastly, diagnosis of the current status of Korea's international veterans' activities and policy reinforcement were suggested.
