Abstract
This study examines the interaction effect of employees’ CSR perceptions of SMEs, especially external CSR activities and high-commitment HRM (human resource management) perception on turnover intention of employees as internal stakeholders. The survey was conducted on employees of SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). The hypothesis was verified through hierarchical regression analysis. As the result of the analysis, it was found that high-commitment HRM influences negative effect on turnover intention. In the case of external CSR perception, the interaction pattern between high-commitment HRM and external CSR perception appeared in the form of a neutralizer. In other words, when external CSR perception is low, the effect of high-commitment HRM on turnover intention is decrease. But the higher the external CSR perception, the lower or insignificant the effect of high-commitment HRM reducing turnover intention. In conclusion, external CSR perception neutralizes the effect of high-commitment HRM reducing turnover intention, which can be confirmed to have the effect of organizational identification through perception of external prestige of firm.
