자립준비청년 멘토링 프로그램에 참여한 멘토의 경험과 의미에 대한 현상학적 연구

연구 목적: 이 연구는 자립준비청년과 성공적인 멘토링을 하는 멘토의 경험을 탐색하여 멘토링의 방향성과 개입방법에 대한 시사점을 얻음으로써 멘토링 질적 향상과 확산에 기여하고자한다. 연구 방법: Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 사용하여 자립준비청년 멘토링에 1년 이상 참여하고 있는 멘토 7명을 심층면담한 후 축어록을 반복코딩과정을 통해 범주를 도출하였다. 연구 내용: 성인멘토의 경험과 의미는 ‘관계 형성 저해 요인, 자율성 촉진, 멘토링을 넘어’ 등 3개의 구성요소, 그리고 ‘멘티 요인, 멘토 요인, 기대의 자각과 수용, 기다려주기, 함께 경험하기, 인간 대 인간‘ 등 6개의 하위구성요소와 13개의 의미단위로 도출되었다. 결론 및 제언: 첫째, 관계의 질이 멘티 자율성을 증진시킨다는 것, 둘째, 함께 경험하기, 셋째, 멘토링의 다양한 형태 병행, 넷째, 일자리 창출 연계, 마지막으로, 멘토링 조기개입 필요성이다.
Abstract
This study aims to contribute to improving and spreading the quality of mentoring by obtaining implications for the direction of mentoring and specific intervention methods by exploring the experiences of young people preparing for independence and adult mentors who are successfully mentoring. The research method used Giorgi’s phenomenological research method and conducted and analyzed in-depth interviews with 7 mentors who have participated in youth mentoring for independence for more than a year. The experience and meaning of adult mentors were derived into three components: ‘mentee factor, mentor factor, awareness and acceptance of expectations, waiting, experiencing together, human-to-human’, and 13 semantic units. The conclusions and suggestions are as follows. First, the quality of the relationship promotes mentee’s autonomy, second, experiencing together, third, parallel to various forms of mentoring, fourth, linking job creation, and finally, the need for early intervention in mentoring.
