연구 목적: ‘아시아 전통 오케스트라’ 사업을 정리하고, 문화교류 성과에 대한 고찰과 향후 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 연구 방법: ‘아시아 전통 오케스트라’에 대한 기존의 연구 자료가 부족한 관계로 문화체육관광부에서 매년 발간하는 아시아문화중심도시 백서를 중심으로 내용을 정리하고 분석하였다. 연구 내용: ‘아시아 전통 오케스트라’의 창단 과정과 목적을 밝히고, 창단부터 현재까지의 활동 내용을 정리했다. 결론 및 제언: ‘아시아 전통 오케스트라’는 문화교류에 있어 많은 의미와 성과가 있었음을 찾을 수 있었다. 하지만 그 예산 규모나 콘텐츠의 다양성에 대한 한계점이 발견되었고, 적은 예산으로 진행이 가능한 사업 개발이나 무용이나 연극 같은 다른 문화콘텐츠와의 협업을 통한 다양화가 필요할 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to summarize the ‘Asia Traditional Orchestra’ project and to review the results of cultural exchanges and present future directions. Due to the lack of prior research data on the existing ‘Asia Traditional Orchestra’, the contents were summarized and analyzed focusing on the annual white paper of the Hub City of Asian Culture by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The process and purpose of the establishment of the ‘Asia Traditional Orchestra’ were revealed, and the details of its activities from its foundation to the present were summarized. It was found that the ‘Asia Traditional Orchestra’ had many meanings and achievements in cultural exchange. However, limitations on the size of the budget and the diversity of content have been found, and diversification is expected to be necessary through business development that can be carried out on a small budget or collaboration with other cultural contents such as dance or theater.
