Abstract

This study examines the reality of the Korean social adaptation of the Karen resettlement refugees in Myanmar and suggests necessary policies to ensure that they can live a stable settle in Korean society have a purpose. Based on the actual experience of researchers investigating a specific group of resettled refugees through regular close settlement life monitoring, along with domestic and foreign literature studies, Korean social adaptation and It was analyzed through the actual situation. The study found difficult problems in the reality of Korean social adaptation for Karen resettled refugees in Myanmar and presented policies based on their experience in field support to solve them. The difficulties of resettled refugees were discovered based on-site monitoring in adapting to Korean society, and resettled refugees were first accepted for about five to six years from now, the central and local governments will develop mid- to long-term support programs and use them in connection and cooperation with social and private organizations and non-governmental organizations.
