의과대학생의 학습전략과 특성

학생들에게 효과적인 학습이 일어나게 하는 것에 대한 중요함에 대한 배경과 필요성으로 의과대학생의 학습전략 특성을 연구하였다. 2020년 8월 한 달 동안 일개 의과대학 의학과 1학년을 대상으로 모바일 설문을 통해 학습전략 활용과 특성을 조사하였다. 연구결과 10가지 학습전략 중 ‘유용성 하’ 영역에 해당하는 학습전략은 요약, 강조하기/밑줄긋기, 기억술, 심상법, 반복읽기로 나타났고, ‘유용성 중’ 영역에 해당하는 학습전략은 정교화 탐구, 자기설명, 교차연습, ‘유용성 상’에 해당하는 학습전략은 분산연습, 인출연습으로 분석되었다. 의과대학생들은 타 전공의 대학생의 학습전략과 다르다는 것을 알 수 있었고 이에 따라 각 전공에 따른 학습 내용과 학생 특성 등에 대한 학습전략과 후속 연구의 필요성을 알 수 있다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to study the characteristics of the learning strategy of medical students with the background and necessity of the importance of making effective learning happen to students. For one month in August 2020, the use and characteristics of learning strategies were investigated through a mobile questionnaire targeting first-year medical students. As a result of the study, the learning strategies corresponding to the ‘under usefulness’ domain among the 10 learning strategies were summarized, highlighting/underlining, mnemonics, imagery, and repeated reading. Learning strategies corresponding to self-explanation, cross-practice, and ‘usefulness’ were analyzed as distributed practice and retrieval practice. It was found that medical students were different from the learning strategies of university students in other majors, and accordingly, it was possible to know the learning strategies and the need for follow-up research on the learning contents and student characteristics according to each major.
