대학생의 경제적 불평등, 교육 불평등, 미래 불평등 간의 관계

본 연구는 대학생의 경제적 불평등(부모 소득, 용돈), 교육 불평등(자기인식, 독서여부, 학교활동), 미래 불평등(미래사회인식, 미래직업 결정여부)의 관계를 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ‘2019 한국교육고용패널 II’의 전국 대학생 3,810명을 대상으로 구조모형 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 경제적 불평등, 교육 불평등, 미래 불평등 간의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 경제적 불평등이 교육 불평등에, 경제적 불평등과 교육 불평등이 미래 불평등에 미치는 영향력이 모두 유의미하였다. 구체적으로 부모소득, 용돈은 자기인식에 영향을 미쳤다. 부모소득은 독서에, 용돈은 학교활동에 영향을 미쳤다. 부모소득, 자기인식, 독서여부, 학교활동은 미래사회인식에, 용돈, 자기인식, 독서여부, 학교활동은 미래직업 결정 여부에 영향을 미쳤다. 이상 결과를 바탕으로 대학생의 불평등 해소를 위한 대학, 사회의 역할을 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study attempts to examine the relationship among economic (parental income, allowance), educational (self-awareness, reading, school activity), and future inequality (future perception, future occupation) of college students. This study analyzes 3,810 students, using ‘2019 Korean Education & Employment Panel Ⅱ’. The result of this study through structural equation modeling analysis is as follows: Economic inequality effects on educational inequality, and economic and educational inequality effects on future inequality. Specifically, parental income and allowance effect on self-awareness. Parental income effects on reading, allowance effect on school activity. Parental income, self-awareness, reading and school activity effect on future perception. Allowance, reading and school activity effect on future occupation. Based on these findings, this study proposes role of higher education and society.
