이 연구는 방송 뉴스와 신문 기사에 나타난 어휘 '리터러시'를 키워드로 하여 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 시기별로 키워드 ‘리터러시’가 방송 뉴스와 신문 기사에 나타난 양상을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 ‘리터러시’는 2016년 이후 증가하였다. 이전과는 달리 정책적이고 제도적인 차원에서 리터러시는 언급되었다. 또 최근 코로나19 바이러스 감염 확산 이후 ‘리터러시’는 ‘문해력’과 함께 교육을 주제로 많은 뉴스와 기사에 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 다음으로 키워드 ‘리터러시’가 방송 뉴스와 신문 기사의 어떤 주제 영역에서 나타나는지를 살펴본 결과 ‘IT･과학’, ‘사회’, ‘문화’의 영역에서 ‘리터러시’가 많이 다루어졌고 세부적으로는 ‘교육’ 영역에서 ‘리터러시’가 가장 많이 언급되었다. 마지막으로 키워드 ‘리터러시’가 방송 뉴스와 신문 기사에서 어떠한 키워드들과 관련되어 나타나는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 교육, 미디어와 관련된 키워드들과 높은 관련성을 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이렇게 이 연구에서는 뉴스, 신문 기사에서 ‘리터러시’가 어떻게 사용되어왔는지, 어떤 영역에서 사용되어왔는지, 어떤 키워드나 개념과 관련되어 사용되어왔는지를 분석해 보았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the word ‘literacy’ appearing in broadcast news and newspaper articles as a keyword. To this end, the appearance of the keyword ‘literacy’ in broadcasting news and newspaper articles by period was investigated. As a result, ‘literacy’ has increased since 2016. Unlike before, literacy was mentioned at the policy and institutional level. In addition, it has been confirmed that ‘literacy’ appears in many news and articles under the theme of education along with munhaeryeok after the recent spread of COVID-19 virus infection. Next, as a result of examining in which subject areas the keyword ‘literacy’ appears in broadcast news and newspaper articles, ‘literacy’ was dealt with a lot in the areas of ‘IT/science’, ‘society’, and ‘culture’, and in detail, ‘literacy’ was mentioned the most in the area of ‘education.’ Finally, we looked at what keywords appear in relation to the keyword ‘literacy’ in broadcast news and newspaper articles. As a result, it was confirmed that there was a high correlation with keywords related to education and media. In this way, this study analyzed how the word ‘literacy’ has been used in news and newspaper articles, in what areas it has been used, and what keywords or concepts it has been used in relation to.
