연구 목적: 이 연구는 장애인활동지원사 사례를 통해 유급돌봄노동의 노동시간의 구성과 협상을 탐색하는 것이다. 활동지원사 노동시간의 구성과 변형의 맥락을 통해, 현장의 갈등이 개인화되는 상황을 비판하고, 돌봄노동 연구의 스펙트럼을 넓히고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 이를 위해, 장애인활동지원사 및 이용자 등에 대한 심층면접을 수행하였다. 연구 내용: 연구결과, 활동지원사의 노동시간은 공식적 노동시간, 휴게시간, 협상을 통해 변형된 시간으로 구성된다. 시간표의 변형은 이용자 편의와 이용자와 활동지원사의 우호적 관계에 기여하지만, 활동지원서비스의 본질을 훼손할 가능성을 초래한다. 결론 및 제언: 이 연구는 이러한 변형을 최소화하기 위해서는 활동지원사 노동조건 개선과 장애인의 사회권 모두에 대한 개선이 이루어져야 함을 제안한다.
Abstract
This study explores the composition and negotiation of the working hours of paid care work through the case of the Personal Assistants (PAs). This study tried to criticize the situation in which conflict in the field are individualized by analyzing the context in which the organization and transformation of the working hours of the PAs are made, and furthermore, to broaden the spectrum of care work research. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with PAs and users. As a result of this study, the working hours of the PAs consist of official working hours, break times, and hours modified through negotiation. The transformation of timetable contributes to the convenience of users and the friendly relationship between the user and the PAs, but causes the possibility of undermining the essence of the PAS. This study suggested that both the working conditions of the PAs and the social rights of People with disabilities should be improved, in order to minimize these transfomations.
