연구 목적: 이 연구는 상담자들을 대상으로 일의 의미와 전문직 정체성의 관계에서 자기성찰의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법: 이를 위해 196명의 상담자를 대상으로 기술통계와 상관분석 및 위계적 다중회귀분석을 적용하였고, 매개 효과의 유의성을 부트스트래핑을 활용하여 확인하였다. 연구 내용: 첫째, 상담자의 일의 의미와 자기성찰은 전문직 정체성에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 상담자의 자기성찰은 일의 의미와 전문직 정체성의 관계에서 부분 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 및 제언: 상담자의 전문적 정체성을 향상시키기 위해 상담자 교육 프로그램에 일의 의미뿐만 아니라 자기성찰을 높일 수 있는 접근이 고려될 필요가 있음을 알게 되었다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the mediating effect of introspection on the relationship between the meaning of work and professional identity for counselors. For this purpose, the meaning of work, introspection, and professional identity were investigated for 196 counselors. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were applied, and the significance of mediating effects was confirmed using bootstrapping. Both the meaning of the counselor’s work and introspection had a significant positive effect on professional identity. In addition, the counselor’s introspection played a partial mediating role in the relationship between the meaning of work and professional identity. To improve the counselor’s professional identity, it is necessary to consider an approach that can enhance introspection and the meaning of work in the counselor’s education program.
