Abstract

Goun Choi Chi-won is a very outstanding figure in literature, calligraphy, history, and philosophy in the late Silla period, and he is a great figure who has left a great mark on the history of calligraphy in Korea. Poetry literature and thought about Choi Chi-won. Many research papers continue to be published on politics, philosophy, religion, etc. He left behind the 『Jingam Prehistory』and 『Sungboksa Monument』as representative works of calligraphy, and left many literatures such as Gyewon Pilgyeongjip and Gowunjip as poetry collections. As such, he is a writer, thinker, and calligrapher with a deep and wide academic style and literary affection in the humanities. The 『Jingam Prehistory』Monument discussed in this paper was built from 885 to 887. This inscription has very high academic data value, especially Korean Buddhist history as well as Chinese literature history. calligraphy history. became the subject of study in the history of thought. The original title of the 『Jingam Prehistory』 Monument shows the high level of quality. This is the crystal of all calligraphy during the 17 years of staying in the Tang Dynasty. In addition, he created a genre of calligraphy today, breaking away from the formations of "Seolmun Haeja", "Hangan", and "Samche Seokgyeong" in the entire cost of 『Jingam Prehistory』. This is because there was a deep knowledge of external character formation more than 1,200 years ago. This has great significance in creating an innovative west wind, which can be said to be a unique Choi Chi-won typeface. Therefore, in this paper, Choi Chi-won's 『Jingam Prehistory』 as a calligrapher was analyzed to discuss calligraphy beauty.
