초록
Since zhang qian(張騫) had opened up the silk road, a variety of people and civilization has been flooding into both Xiyu(西域) and china. It is relatively easy to track the route of culture and goods coming from Xiyu(西域) to China as many of them were recorded in Chinese history, whereas it is very difficult to follow the road of bringing Chinese culture and goods into Xiyu due to lack of historical record. These events had played a important role as a kind of stimulant especially for China and neighboring East Asian countries of Korea and Japan when we realize that their cultural width had rapidly broadened by accepting new western ele- ments ever since zhang qian’s travel. In many cases, Xiyu’s cultures or goods came to China at the period of Han and Tang Dynasties were named with the character of Hu(胡) added in front of their name, meaning its origins of Tarim Basin or Sogdiana and showing coming across so called Oasis route. In Han-Tang period, although it’s strength and weak- ness, various cultures that have basically same origin and trait had been flowing in without interruption, so we need to look into the history of East-West interchange with comprehensive perspective.
