Abstract

‘Thought of Deleuze’ became a foundation of postmodern philosophy as secures broader territory by going through the deterritorialization which is unthreading from conventional territory and reterritorialization, creating a new block. In ≪The Square(Gwangjang)≫ , which reflects the Korean po- litical society in 1960s, I perceived the power of flight in Deleuzian concepts. Therefore, I would like to go thorough lines of flight, about how this novel flips over modern philosophy with a new arrangement. First, dark precursor appears continually, and the novel expands itself to potential territory as the precursor resonated with substance later. The substance of precursor which was captured since the ship that Lee myeong-joon, the main character, went aboard sets out was a seagull followed. This seagull actually resonated as his lover and daughter. Thereby bring the imperceptible, unreal world into a reality. Second, as the space of majority that is dominant power such as con- ventional state, ideology and masculinity destroyed, Lee myeong-joon choo- ses to leave to a neutral country and continuously executes practical aspect of ‘deterritorialization’ as throwing away his desire and ‘becoming- minoritarian.’ Lastly, Lee myeong-joon infiltrates in a Time Demension of aion, devi- ating time of chronos as a narcissistic ego in between unreal world full of dreams and memories and reality. Death drive of cracked ego expands it- self to unlimited zone of eternal return beyond organismic death. As above, ≪The Square(Gwangjang)≫ have a value as a text opened infinitely on a par with creation which generate a new arrangement as bring unreal area of consciousness. That is, this plot allows new combina- tion of ‘reterriotazation’ by embracement of uncertainty that happens in the consciousness of main character in the middle of the era of chaos.
