우리 군에서는 군인의 삶의 질에 대한 연구와 복지관련 지표설정 및 조사 등이 체계적으로 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 복지수요를 파악하고 이를 근거로 합리 적이고 효율적인 복지정책 추진의 근거마련을 위해서는 다양한 차원의 통계유 지와 주기적인 조사는 필수적이라 하겠다. 이러한 차원에서 본 연구는 직업군인의 삶의 질을 측정하기 위해 13개 영역의 지표를 설정하고 설문조사를 통해 수준을 측정하였다. 조사결과 전반적으로 군 직업에 대한 만족수준이 낮게 나타났으며, 특히 군 직업에 대한 자긍심, 명예 등에 대한 부정적 인식이 높게 나타나 이를 개선하기 위한 정책적 관심과 노력이 필요하다고 하겠다.
Abstract
The research for quality of life of the professional soldiers––such as establishing the indicators and executing the related survey––has not been systematically practiced by the ROK Army. Understanding the needs of the welfare and to make a reasonable and effective logical foundation is crucialfor building and executing the "good" politics in the areas of morale welfare and recreation for the military. This research establishes 13 domains of indicators, and measures the level of the quality of life of the professional soldiers by carrying out the survey. The result shows that the military job satisfaction as a career is generally low especially in the sense of self-respect and honor. To revise this, it may take some concerns and efforts of policy makers.
