초록
This study explores how citizens engage with scientific activities within educational programs at science museums designed for adults. Drawing on Merleau-Ponty's phenomenological approach, the study examines the participation trajectories of four individuals, focusing on how they experience the activities through perception and bodily engagement, in the interrelation between the lived body and the world it encounters. Data were collected through interviews with participants and observations during their engagement in the program. The analysis reveals that, through immersion in interactions with the entities present in the activity’s field, forge new relationships through embodied involvement. The participants’ deepened engagement, accompanied by bodily transformations, suggests that their understanding of nature moves beyond the epistemological dimension, reaching into an ontological dimension through the transformation of their being. The implications for designing meaningful learning opportunities where science learners experience nature and engage in learning through embodied participation are discussed.
