우리나라 컨테이너 물량의 82%이상이 육상운송에 의해 이루어지고 있으며, 이로 인한 고속도로의 교통체증, 환경파괴 및 교통사고 유발 등 사회적 부작용이 초래되고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 2003년도 5월과 8월에는 화물연대의 집단 파업행위로 인해 국가물류가 마비되는 상황을 초래한 바 있다. 이러한 육상운송의 문제점을 토대로 이 연구에서는 운송 Mode별 컨테이너 운송의 편익 비교와 컨테이너 연안해송에 따른 화주기업들의 인식실태에 대해 설문 조사를 통해 실증 분석하였다.
Abstract
In order to manage national logistics stably and to support continuing economic growth, it should precede the innovation of container transportation system between interior harbors and inland. It causes several social side effects such as a traffic jam, an increase of maintenance cost, a traffic accident and air pollution by waste gas, environmental disruption as the portion of inland container trucking between Seoul and Busan is over 82%. Furthermore, national logistics was paralyzed due to trucker's walkout in May and August 2003. On the basis of these inland transportation problems, this paper proves and analyzes the benefits of coastal container transportation according to each mode and the shippers' recognition about coastal container transportation through the questionaires and survey.
