세계적으로 컨테이너 물동량의 증가, 선박의 대형화 및 고속화, 터미널 운영비의 증가 및 기술 환경의 변화로 인해 자동화 컨테이너터미널(Automated Container Terminal: ACT)에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있고, 기존의 외국 ACT는 자동화 영역을 확장해 가고 있으며 세부 기술연구에 박차를 가하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 해외 선진 ACT의 유형 및 유형별 특성을 파악하고, ACT 유형 결정 요인을 분석함으로써 향후 ACT 개발 시 기준이 될 수 있도록 한다.
Abstract
There are a lot of interest to the development of ACT(Automatic Container Terminal). The reason why we focus on it is container terminals need higher competitive power through ultramodern equipments to bring down the cost and up the efficiency. Recently, many projects of ACT are being carried out in Korea. However, we do not have any guideline of ACT development. The plan of ACT implementation needs right course, right strategy and right scope. In the view of strategy development, the most important thing is to define the appropriate level and approach type of automation. In this study, we propose the necessary criteria and strategy which needs to introduce ACT through analyzing diverse features depending on the type of overseas ACT.
