본고는 한국해운물류학회의 제43회 정기학술발표에 즈음하여 ‘거대경제권과의 FTA체결과 해운물류산업’이라는 공통주제의 일부로 한․일 FTA와 해운물류산업의 변화가능성에 관해 기술한 것으로 학술적인 성격보다 시사적인 성격을 가진 에세이임을 미리 밝혀두고자 한다. 본고에서는 기존 선행연구를 바탕으로 한․일FTA의 경제적 효과와 이에 따른 한일 무역항로의 변화가능성을 탐색하고, 해운사업 확장의 기회로서 FTA를 파악하였으며, 한국해운이 기회를 선점하기위한 첫 번째 준비로서 경쟁력을 회복하고 있는 일본 해운산업의 선례를 학습할 것을 제안하고자 하였다.
Abstract
This paper is on the Korea-Japan Free Trade Agreement and possibility of changes in shipping and logistics market between Korea and Japan maritime trade route. And as a part of common theme of ‘Free Trade Agreement between Korea and Huge Economies and Shipping and Logistics Industry' of Korea Association of Shipping and Logistics, we focused to comment on current topics rather than academic analysis. On the basis of preceding researches, we inquired into economic effects of Korea-Japan FTA and possible changes in shipping and logistics market between two countries. As a result, we realized FTA as the opportunities to expand shipping business, and for prior occupation to these opportunities, we suggested to learn the prior experiences of Japanese shipping industry who retrieving international competitiveness, at first.
