한？중 FTA 체결이 한국의 해운물류산업에 미치는 영향

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the rationale for a Korea-China FTA and future impacts on Korean Shipping and Logistics Industry. First of all, the rationale for Korea-China FTA are follows: ⅰ) two countries are increasingly dependant upon each economies, ⅱ) two countries try to make response to the worldwide rise of economic regionalism, ⅲ) two countries anticipate the economic benefits coming from an FTA, ⅳ) two countries anticipate to reduce political tensions in the region. According to the previous studies on the economic impact of a Korea-China FTA, the Korean economy will benefit better than the Chinese economy in terms of GDP growth and welfare. Under these economic effects, the following impacts on Korean shipping and logistics industry will be resulted: ⅰ) the shipping quantity between Korea and China will be increased, and so the shipping space will be needed, ⅱ) the transshipment quantity at Pusan Port and Kwangyang Port with the port alliance with the Chinese medium and small ports located in the Yangzi River will be increased, ⅲ) the opportunity to provide advanced services of Korean 3 PL will be much increased, and ⅳ) the high value added shipping industry such as cruise shipping will be growing.
