초록

이 논문은 선박확보에 소요되는 자금조달의 수단으로 2002년도에 도입된 우리나라의 선박투자회사를 독일 KG, 네덜란드의 해운NV 등의 선박펀드제도와 비교하면서 이 제도가 갖고 있는 장단점을 SWOT분석을 통해 살펴보고 있다. 특히 우리나라의 선박투자회사를 통한 선박자금 조달이 지속적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 투자자를 유인할 수 있는 세제혜택 등이 더 유지될 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 정책당국은 다른 나라에서 제공하는 세제상의 혜택을 투자자들에게 제공할 수 있도록 관련법을 개정할 필요가 있을 것으로 보인다.

Abstract

A ship fund is a useful tool to acquire a ship. Through a ship fund, shipping companies could raise the capital from investors. Investors can also get dividends which come from operating earning of a ship. Utilizing German KG, for the first time in Asia, Korean SIC scheme has been introduced since 2002. The aim of this paper explores the alternatives for improving SIC in Korean shipping finance system through a comparison with German KG and Belgian Shipping NV. After a comparative review of three systems, SWOT analysis for Korean SIC has been conducted. Through SWOT analysis, it shows that Korean SIC has a main problem in the function of the internal policy system. It implies that Korean SIC should be amended to attract many various parties in both the long-term and global perspectives.
