한국 수산물 무역의 비교우위와 경쟁력 분석

본고는 한국 수산물의 국가별, 어종별, 품종별, 품목별로 무역구조, 비교우위 및 무역경쟁력을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 무역특화지수 분석을 통해 확실한 수출특화를 보인 국가는 일본이며 품목은 해조류로 나타났다. 둘째, 가격과 품질측면의 경쟁력 분석에서 수출단가보다 수입단가가 높으면서 지속적인 무역흑자를 실현한 국가는 일본과 뉴질랜드이며, 품종과 품목은 각각 건조와 해조류로 분석되었다. 셋째, 산업내무역지수 분석에서 고품질 산업내무역에 해당하는 어종은 기타어류, 넙치, 게, 바지락, 어란, 꽁치, 소금이며 품종은 활어, 신선·냉장, 건조, 염장·염수장, 기타 품종, 기타조제 수산물로 나타났다. 그리고 품목은 갑각류, 수생동물, 환형동물, 해조류, 수산부산물, 한천, 기타수산물로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로, 본고는 수산물 생산 품목의 다양화와 고부가가치화, 사료개발과 친환경 양식기술·에너지시설 확보, 가공·유통 인프라 조성, 해외시장의 개척과 확대 측면에서 수산물 수출 경쟁력 강화 방안을 계층화하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the trade structure, comparative advantage, and trade competitiveness based on country, species, breed, and item. In the trade specialization index analysis, Japan was found to possess an absolute export specialization in seaweed. In the competitiveness analysis, in terms of price and quality, Japan and New Zealand achieved a constant trade surplus with their import unit price higher than the export unit price for the dried seafood breed and seaweed item. In the intra-industry trade index analysis, species such as flat fish, crab, and clam belong to high-quality intra-industry trade. In addition, breeds such as live fish and fresh·chilled, and items such as crustaceans, aquatic animals and seaweeds were included in high-quality intra-industry trade. Based on the results, this paper presented enhanced methods of trade competitiveness, such as production diversification and high value additions of marine products, building eco-friendly aquaculture technology and energy facilities, establishing processing and distributing infrastructure, and exploring and enlarging the overseas market.
