Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects on community adaptation of released convicts and identify causal relationship. Particularly, stigma and degree of quality of life would be associated with community adaptation through having mediation effect of resilience. The quality of life consists of interpersonal relationship and level of life. As a result of statistics, the quality of life is positively correlated with resilience. The more the stigma on released convicts aggravates, the more degree of resilience decreases. Therefore, the quality of life had positive relationship with resilience, but stigma had negative relationship. Proposing hypotheses through previous studies and verifying the research model, the stigma and the quality of life did not directly affect the adaptation of the community. However, resilience mediated them as influencing the community adaptation. In this study, it is more likely to be perceived that quality of life and stigma would directly affect community adaptation. However, this study found that resilience as mediation effect is a significant factor to connect between quality of life & stigma and community adaptation.
