Abstract

In the context of the debate on the introduction of the autonomous police system, one of the government's tasks, preemptive response to areas with high security satisfaction is essential for the successful establishment of the system. Therefore, this study attempted to prepare a suitable plan for the Jeollabuk-do region based on the autonomous police system proposal discussed so far after examining the regional characteristics and security conditions in the Jeollabuk-do region. First, in the case of the autonomous police headquarters, in addition to the role of the current local police agency, the organization of the organization for strengthening the planning function and strengthening the connection with the provincial council and the provincial office was insisted. Next, in the case of the autonomous police station, it was suggested that three models be provided according to the security conditions and regional characteristics of each government office, so that police activities by accordance with regional characteristics could be implemented. In addition, if possible, it was insisted on expanding the stages after the pilot for certain parts and functions so that local residents would not be confused if possible. While this study is meaningful in that it is the first attempt in the current situation where there is no discussion of the autonomous police system in Jeollabuk-do, it has limitations that have not been discussed in detail about the problems of the current proposal.
