시민의 경찰신뢰에 대한 영향요인분석: 도구적 요인과 경찰 공정성요인을 중심으로

최근 경찰조직이 맞이한 중대한 변화를 기점으로 경찰신뢰를 확보하기 위한 실질적인 노력을 전개해왔다. 경찰신뢰의 실무적 가치가 중요해진 만큼, 학계에서는 경찰신뢰를 설명하기 위한 학술연구들이 꾸준히 이어지고 있다. 그 중 국내에서 경찰신뢰를 주제로 한 연구들을 대상으로 수행된 메타분석 연구를 통해 도구적 요인과 경찰 공정성 요인이 경찰신뢰를 설명하는 핵심적인 변수라는 사실이 도출되었다(장재성, 2021). 따라서 이 연구는 해당 요인들을 중심으로 경찰신뢰를 설명하고자 수행되었다. 연구자료는 서울시민 543명을 대상으로 진행된 설문조사를 통해 수집되었으며 주요 분석으로는 다중회귀분석이 수행되었다. 연구결과 도구적 요인의 변수 중에는 경찰효과성 인식이 경찰신뢰에 대해 통계적으로 유의미한 영향력(β=.386)을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 경찰 공정성 요인 중에는 분배적 공정성 인식(β=.150)과 절차적 공정성 인식(β=.330) 모두 경찰신뢰에 대해 통계적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 전체 변수 중 경찰신뢰에 가장 큰 영향력을 미치는 변수는 경찰효과성으로 도출되었으며, 도구적 요인의 경우 모든 변수들이 경찰신뢰에 대해 긍정적인 영향력을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
Recently, police have made significant change in the their organization. As the practical value of police trust has become important, many research which explain police trust have been steadily conducted. Among them meta-analysis research which conducted on the study in Korea found the instrumental model and normative model are important to explain police trust. Therefore, this study confirmed to find the factors affecting police trust, focusing on the instrumental model and normative model. As a result this study found that among the instrumental model variables, the perception of police effectiveness had a statistically significant influence (.386) on police trust. In case of normative model, both distributive justice (.150) and procedural justice (.330) had a statistical influence on police trust. As a result, the variable that has the greatest influence on police trust among all variables was police effectiveness. In the case of the normative model, all variables had a positive influence on police trust.
