Abstract

The Institute Time Clause-Hulls of 1983 had been used as the standardized clause of insurance for hull insurance for 20 years until 2003. International Hulls Clauses of 2003 had been made by The Joint Hull Committee, Korean Shipping Association were established in 1949 used Ship Mutual Insurance Clauses. The ITCH of 1983, IHC of 2003, Korean Shipping Association’s Ship Mutual Insurance Clauses covers risks covered except as excluded by the provisions of Clauses 4, 5, 6, and 7. The risks covered have been divided the loss and damage has not resulted from want of due diligence by the Assured, Owners or Managers and the loss and damage has resulted from want of due diligence by the Assured, Owners or Managers by The ITCH of 1983, IHC of 2003, Korean Shipping Association’s Ship Mutual Insurance Clauses. Stores or parts have been covered by IHC of 2003. Stores or parts have been not covered by ITCH of 1983, Korean Shipping Association’s Ship Mutual Insurance Clauses. IHC of 2003 does not cover any of the costs of correcting the latent defect, the use of any weapon or the detonation of explosive any person acting maliciously or from a political motive. ITCH of 1983, Korean Shipping Association’s Ship Mutual Insurance Clauses does not cover any weapon of war caused by any person acting maliciously or from a political motive.
