고기술집중도, 전자상거래 규모, 해외직접투자가 한국의 항공화물 수출에 미치는 영향: 패널분석기법의 적용

본 연구는 2001년부터 2016년까지 우리나라의 항공화물 주요 수출국인 15개국을 대상으로 수출상대국의 고기술집중도, 한국의 전자상거래 규모, 수출상대국으로의 해외직접투자가 항공화물 수출에 미치는 영향을 패널 FMOLS기법으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 수출상대국의 고기술집중도와 한국의 전자상거래 규모가 1% 변화할 때 항공화물 수출액이 각각 0.39%와 0.02% 증가하였으며 수출상대국으로의 해외직접투자액이 1% 증가하면 수출액이 0.04% 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 실증분석 결과를 바탕으로, 본고는 항공화물 수출의 주요 교역대상국 소득에 대한 모니터링, FTA체결 확대로 무역규모의 지속적 증대, 수출제품의 고부가가치화를 위한 연구개발투자 확대, 전자상거래 규모의 확대를 위한 정책과 제도의 정비 및 해외직접투자 규모의 전략적 축소를 통한 리쇼어링이라는 정책적 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study examines the impact of factors such as high technology intensity, e-commerce scale, and overseas direct investment (ODI) in fifteen countries that were major export destinations of Korean air cargo in 2016, on exports of air cargo. It uses panel group FMOLS to estimate the long-term equilibrium relationship between variables. When real GDP per capita, export unit price, trade openness, high-technology intensity, and e-commerce scale increased by 1%, air cargo exports increased by 1.13%, 0.73%, 0.42%, 0.39%, and 0.02%, respectively, whereas a 1% increase in ODI led to a 0.04% decrease in export value. Thus, to increase Korean air freight exports, it is necessary to monitor the economies and income levels of trading partner countries continuously. It is also necessary to increase trade volume through continuous expansion of the FTA and continuous technology development, identify high-technology items of trading partner countries, rearrange policies and systems to expand e-commerce, and reshore through a strategic reduction of ODI.
