중세 한국어 용언 ‘･들-[入]’의 문형 구성에 대하여

초록

본 연구는 한국어 용언의 문법적 변화를 살펴보기 위한 기초적 연구로서 이동 사태를 나타내는 중세 한국어의 절 구성을 용언 ‘･들-’을 대상으로 하여 의미와 통사적 특성을 기술하고, 각 구성의 분류에 어떤 요인이 개입하여 있는지 기술하였다. 중세 한국어 용언 ‘･들-’은 문장 성분으로 취하는 명사구의 의미 특성에 따라 크게 8가지 구성으로 분류되었다. 명사구의 의미 부류는 동작주, 유발주가 될 수 있는 유정 명사류, 완곡한 용법을 유발하는 존칭 유정 명사류, 처소나 대상이 될 수 있는 무정 명사류, 도달의 구상성‧추상성을 구분해 주는 추상 명사류, 수량 표현 등이 유의미하게 사용되었다. 각각의 사태는 구상적 이동이 일어나는 사건으로서 달성 사태와 완성 사태, 상태 변화나 그 결과로 이루어지는 상태, 속성 부류들이 검토되었다. 이동 사태의 분류에는 이동의 방향을 동작주와 경험주, 혹은 서술자의 일치 여부, 그리고 이들 주체 쪽으로의 움직임이 검토되었다. ‘‧들-’ 구성의 분류에는 유발주(causer)의 유무와 처소의 경계 유무(boundedness) 등도 구성의 분류에 기능함을 확인하였다. ‘‧들-’ 구성마다 가지는 의미를 구분하여 서술함으로써 ‘‧들-’ 구성에 대한 중세 한국어 구성의 특성을 기술하였다.

Abstract

This study surveys the semantics and syntax of verbal construction of Middle Korean ‘teul-’. The verb ‘teul-’ has basic sense which describes the event that agent moves to the place across the boundary. The syntax of the verb varies from construction Ⅰ to construction Ⅷ, and from 2-place construction to 3-place construction. And the semantics of the verb varies from active to stative, and from accomplishment to state. For the synchronic description, various syntactic and semantic components comes in consideration. Of which are semantic classes of noun phrase such as animateness for subject, abstractness for adverbial. There comes event classes such as achievement, accomplishment, and state for classifying criterion for ‘teul-’ constructions. Motion properties such as directionality, causer of motion, boundedness of target place, and punctuality considered as important criteria for classifying properties also.
