연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 유치원에 자녀를 보내는 어머니의 유아교육공동체 구축에 대한 태도 관련 기초자료 수집을 위해 어머니의 사회인구학적 변인과 유아교육기관 관련 경험 변인에 따라 어머니의 유아교육공동체 구축에 대한 태도에 차이가 있는지 살펴보는 것이다. 연구방법: A광역시와 인근의 중소도시 3개 지역에 소재하는 유치원에 자녀를 보내고 있는 어머니 총 335명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 평균, 표준편차, t-검증, 일변량분산분석과 Scheffé 사후검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 어머니의 유아교육공동체 구축에 대한 태도는 전반적으로 긍정적인 편이었으며, 구체적으로 교사의 전문성을 존중하고 다름을 수용하고자 하는 태도가 가장 높았다. 둘째, 어머니의 유아교육공동체 구축에 대한 태도는 어머니의 직업 유무와 월 가정 소득에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었지만 연령에서는 차이가 없었다. 셋째, 어머니의 부모교육 참여수준, 교육기관 만족도, 기관의 교육공동체적 수준에 따라 어머니의 유아교육공동체 구축에 대한 태도에 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 결론: 교육공동체의 한 주체인 어머니들의 유아교육공동체 구축에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 유아교육공동체를 구현하는데 요구되는 기관의 역할과 부모교육 프로그램의 방법론에 대한 시사점을 제공해준다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study’s purpose was to examine the differences in attitudes toward building early child education communities of mothers who send their children to kindergarten according to mothers’ social demographic factors and experiential factors regarding early child education institutes. Method: A total of 335 mothers from metropolitan city A and 3 mid-sized cities in the vicinity participated in the study and answered a questionnaire. The data was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA and Scheffé post-hoc analyses with the SPSS 23.0 program. Results: First, the attitudes toward building early child education communities for mothers were mostly positive, and concretely, attitudes for respecting teacher expertise and accepting differences were highest. Second, significant differences were identified in attitudes toward building early child education communities for mothers according to job status and monthly family income, but there was no difference in age. Third, the results showed that significant differences were identified in the attitudes for mothers according to the level of participation in parental education, educational institution satisfaction level, and the awareness level of the institutes attending their children as educational communities. Conclusion: The factors affecting to attitudes toward establishing early child education communities of mothers as the agents of educational communities, have implications for planning parent education program which support to establish educational communities and role of the institutes.
