한말 심설논쟁과 주재主宰 의식

본연구는한말을전후하여전국적으로전개된심설논쟁가운데몇가지 사례를분석하고주재의식이라는관점에서심설논쟁이갖는사상사적의의를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 주재 문제는 송대 이래로 성리학 분야의 주요논점이었지만특히서세동점의시대상황을배경으로위기의한말유학자들에게는집중적인탐구의대상이되었다. 본연구를통해심설논쟁의 핵심은 마음의 구조 분석이 아니라 주재의 근거를 밝히는 데 있었음을 규명하였다. 아울러주재문제에대한광범위한논쟁은천명중심의성리학 논의를인간중심의논의로전환시키는계기를마련했다는것이본논문의 결론이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze several cases of the disputes over human mind developed nationwide around the late period of the Great Han empire and to explore the historical significance of the disputes from the perspective of presidency (主宰). The issue of presidency has been a major issue in the field of Neo-Confucianism since the Song Dynasty, but it has become the subject of intensive inquiry, especially for Confucian scholars at the late period of the Great Han empire. Through this study, it has been identified that the core of the disputes was not to analyze the structure of the mind, but to reveal the basis for presidency. In addition, it has been concluded that the fierce debate over presidency served as an opportunity to convert the Neo-Confucian discussion centered on the heaven into a human-centered discussion.
