한국고전종합DB를 이용한 漢學 大衆化를 위한스마트 검색 시스템 개발 -脚註 시스템을 中心으로-

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of an SSS(Smart Search System) to effectively search for information on approximately 820,000 pieces of footnotes included in the Classics Translation Footnote Information System of the Korean Classics DB. Even researchers who are familiar with the search system have trouble finding the results after going through several mistakes to find the data they seek. Moreover, biginners in Korean Classics Literature studies have many difficulties in performing the searching. This study proposes methods of increasing accessibility by making it possible to finding the desired data by simply entering as search term which has no additional search functions, and suggests alternative searches when the desired data is not available. The method presented in this study can not be a unique solution. However, the suggestions herein are worthwhile in that it indicates the direction of future advanced search systems and opens the possibility of integrating multiple search systems. In addition, this study provided an opportunity to find structural problems by suggesting methods that can be linked with various services of the Korean Classics DB developed so far. The Smart Search System, which acts as a mediator, is not affected by the internal structure of the Korean Classics DB, and it can be built as a dependent system because it provides a combination of keywords to be searched. In addition, various functions can be added. As the first step of the Smart Search System, the development was carried out centered on the Footnote Information System, which is open used by researchers participating in translation, and it was confirmed that this function can be applied to the full search of the Korean Classics DB. In addition, this study also proposes the possibility of integrating and applying a search system that provides similar types of services, such as the Korean Historical Human Resources Information System, the Korean National Culture Encyclopedia, and the Korean Historical Information Integrating System. Although the integrated search itself is meaningful, it is also valuable in generating opportunities to increase the reliability of the data in that this enables cross-varification of errors by comparing the data in each system.
