조선후기 『皇極經世書』 수용 양상 연구 1 -明谷 崔錫鼎의 『經世訓民正音』에 나타난 易學的 正音觀 연구-

본 논문은 崔錫鼎의 『經世訓民正音』에 나타난 正音觀에 대해서 살펴본 것이다. 최석정의 「禮部韻略後序」, 『경세훈민정음』 그리고 숙종의 「訓民正音後序」의 관련성에 대해서 기존 연구에서는 긍정적으로 언급하였다. 그러나 필자는 1678년 완성된 『경세훈민정음』과 「예부운략후서」는 1691년 발간된 숙종의 「훈민정음후서」와 관련성이 없다고 판단하였다. 최석정은 『경세훈민정음』 乾冊을 통해서 『皇極經世書』 <聲音唱和圖>를 변용하여 수용하였다. 그리고 수리적으로 소옹의 『황극경세서』를 모방하고자 하여 『황극경세서』에 나타난 易數論을 변용하여 『경세훈민정음』에 적용하였다. 이러한 작업을 주로 『경세훈민정음』 坤冊을 통해 증명하려고 하였다. 그러나 『경세훈민정음』 곤책을 완성하지 못하고 생을 마감하게 된다. 최석정의 『경세훈민정음』은 국어학, 중어학, 한국사학, 한국철학 분야에서 연구가 꾸준히 있어 왔다. 그러나 『경세훈민정음』 건책과 곤책의 관계, 곤책의 미완성된 부분, 발간연도 등은 아직 완전하게 논술되지 않은 것 같다. 따라서 앞으로 더 많은 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다.
Abstract
This paper aims to examine Choi Seok-jeong (崔錫鼎)'s view of jeongeum (正音) in his work Gyeongsehunminjeongeum(『經世訓民正音』). Earlier studies pointed out positively about the relation between Choi’s two works, “Yebuunyakhuseo (「禮部韻略後序」)” and Gyeongsehunminjeongeum(『經世訓民正音』) completed in 1678 and King Sukjong (肅宗)’s “Hunminjeongeumhuseo(「訓民正音後序」)” in 1961; but this research revealed a negative relation between Choi’s and King Sukjong’s works. Choi Seok-jeong modified and accepted “Shenyinchanghetu(「聲音唱和圖」)” of Huanggijingshishu(『皇極經世書』) through “Geonchaek(「乾冊」)” of Gyeongse- hunminjeongeum. And to imitate Shao Yong(邵雍)'s Huanggijingshishu mathematically, Choi modified the theory of inverse numbers (易數論) shown in Hwanggijingshishu, and applied this theory, to Gyeongsehunminjeongeum (『經世訓民正音』). Choi wanted to prove his work mainly through “Gonchaek(坤冊)” but he failed to complete it during his life. Choi Seok-jeong's Gyeongsehunminjeongeum(『經世訓民正音』) has been consistently studied in the fields of Korean linguistics, Chinese linguistics, Korean history, and Korean philosophy. However, the relationship between his “Geonchaek(「乾冊」)” and “Gonchaek (「坤冊」)” and the year of publication and various unfinished parts of “Geonchaek” does not seem to have been completely proven. Therefore, more research is needed in the future.
