포스트모던組織 연구에 있어서 리좀과 老子의 「道德經」:道德經 8장을 中心으로

초록

본 연구는 조직연구에 있어서 새로운 접근법인 포스트모더니즘 상의 리좀을 논의하고 있다. 우리들은 Gilles Deleuze와 Félix Guattari의 작품을 통해 포스트모던조직 분석에 도움이 되는 리좀의 핵심적인 원리를 도출한다. 그것들은 접속과 이질성의 원리, 다양체의 원리, 비의미적 절단의 원리, 지도제작법과 전사술의 원리 등이다. 요약하면, 리좀은 시작도 끝도 없는 중간지대, 즉 끊임없는 생성의 상태에 있는 탈중심적, 비계층적, 비의미의 작용적인 시스템이다. 나아가 이러한 원리들의 주된 논쟁점들은 詳說하고 노자 도덕경 8장의 물의 제 효능과의 관련성을 개발한다. 그렇게 함으로써 초기 단계에 있는 조직론에 있어서 포스트모던 접근법의 개념적 기초를 마련하고 리좀의 의미 충실화를 기하고 있다. 또한 물의 제 효능으로는 「居善地」, 「心善淵」, 「與善仁」, 「言善信」, 「政善治」, 「事善能」, 그리고 「動善時」 등이다.

Abstract

This article discusses a new approach to organizational analysis-a ‘rhizome’ in postmodernism. Through reference to the works of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, we produce an inventory of key principles in the rhizome for postmodern organizational analysis ――― ‘connection and heterogeneity’, ‘multiplicity’, ‘asignifying rupture’, and ‘cartography and decalcomania’. In summary, the rhizome is an acentered, non-hierarchical and asignifying system in a constant state of becoming, a middle without beginning or end. Moreover, we explicate the main arguments associated with these principles and attemp to develop the relationships between the concepts of rhizome and the efficacies of water in the chapter 8 of 「Tao Te Ching」. In this study lays conceptual foundations and endeavors to enrich the meanings of rhizome for a nascent postmodern approach to organization studies. And the efficacies of water are as follows: In dwelling, the good thing is the land; In the mind, the good thing is depth; In giving, the good thing is being like Heaven; In speaking, the good thing is sincerity; In governing, the good thing is order; In affairs, the good thing is alility; And in activity, the good thing is timeliness.
