The purpose of this study was to classify subjectivity structures found in Chinese college students who have been watching Korean TV dramas, and to identify the characteristic features found in the classification. Two research issues were raised: First, what are the subjectivity factors and characteristic features of Chinese students who have been watching Korean TV dramas?; Second, what are the commonalities and differences among them? This study selected 36 statements as Q-samples where Chinese college students were supposed to answer their motives, attitudes, beliefs, preferences, and orientations in relation to Korean TV drama watchings. Considering sex, grade, and other demographic factors, P sample of 18 Chinese students were constituted. Data were collected by the researcher from March 25, 2007 to March 30, 2007 after Q sorts and in-depth interviews. Following results were found from the analyses. First, 3 types of subjectivity structure were found from Chinese students who have been watching Korean TV dramas. Type I could be named as "Critical drama Monitor Type". Students who belong to this type have been watching Korean TV dramas in order to satisfy such individual needs as content analyses, drama critics, or meeting TV talents. Type II could be named as "Pragmatic Informationsearching Type". Students who belong to this type have been watching Korean TV dramas in order to collect information of Korean society, or to build interaction networks with other people. Type III could be named as "Drama Emersion Type". Students who belong to this type have been watching Korean TV dramas in order to fulfill their preference to Korean culture. Second, Chinese college students were found to be very much interested in the stories and structures included in Korean TV dramas. They indicated that Korean TV dramas are pretty much oriented toward fun-generating, but not much violent.
