본 연구에서는 예술치료사의 고유한 전문성 발달을 측정할 수 있는 예술치료사 발달평가척도(the Creative Arts Therapist Developmental Assessment Scales: CAT-DAS)를 개발하고 타당화하였다. 연구 1에서는 상담자 발달에 관한 문헌 및 기존 척도에 대한 이론적 검토를 바탕으로 66개의예술치료사 발달평가척도 예비문항을 제작하고 예술치료사 240명을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 하위요인을 확인하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, ‘치료중재기술’, ‘역전이 관리’, ‘치료관계’, ‘윤리적 대처’, ‘협업’의 총 5요인, 21문항이 도출되었다. 연구 2에서는 연구 1에서 실시한 탐색적 요인분석 결과에서 나타난 요인구조가 다른 예술치료사의 자료를 적절하게 설명하는지 검증하기 위하여399명의 예술치료사를 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 연구 1에서 도출된 하위요인들과 문항들이 예술치료사의 발달을 적절하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났으며, 개발된 척도의 신뢰도 및 변별, 준거타당도가 검증되었다. 이 연구 결과를 바탕으로 예술치료사의 발달에 대한 이해와 본 척도의 활용에 대한 시사점을 논하였다.
Abstract
This study investigated the development and validation of an inventory that measures creative arts therapists’ professional development. As the result, the Creative Arts Therapist Developmental Assessment Scales (CAT-DAS) were developed to assess creative arts therapists’ developmental levels. In Study 1, an exploratory factor analysis (N=240) identified 5 factors: Intervention Techniques, Countertransference Management, Therapeutic Relationship, Ethical Strategies, and Collaboration, with internal consistency reliability estimates ranging from .741 to .906. In Study 2, a confirmatory factor analysis (N=399) provided a cross-validation of the 5-factor model as well as an evidence for validity of the scale. Findings from this study suggest that the scales are highly credible to assess creative arts therapists’ developmental levels, and therefore can be used as effective tools to evaluate effectiveness of training programs in the filed of creative arts therapy.
