Abstract
White-collar crimes are evolving beyond traditional forms like fraud, embezzlement, and bribery, extending into ICT and artificial intelligence development. Because of their transnational nature, the resulting harm is extensive and challenging to fully anticipate. Typically, white-collar crimes garner attention only after they occur, but effectively tackling these challenges necessitates proactive measures utilizing advanced science and technology. Each crime involves individuals whose thoughts and actions are influenced by brain functions, necessitating research in neuroscience. This study explores neuroscience's potential in preventing white-collar crimes amidst its recent rapid advancements. It commences with an overview of white-collar crimes, drawing insights from existing crime theories, and scrutinizes neuroscience's relevance through international cases. Emphasis is placed on comprehending current technological limitations, evaluating future prospects, and establishing ethical frameworks for preventing white-collar crimes from a mid- to long-term perspective.
