마음의 통합을 위한 남북한 주민 의식 비교: 삶의 만족도를 중심으로

본 연구의 문제의식은 대한민국이라는 공간에서 함께 살고 있는 남한주민과 북한이탈주민 모두가 현재 살아가고 있는 삶에 만족하고 있는지에 대한 질문에서 출발하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 남한주민과 북한이탈주민의 삶의 만족도는 ‘내가 삶에서 성취한 것에 만족한다’, ‘나는 내 성격에 대해 만족한다’, ‘나는 건강상태에 대해 만족한다’, ‘나는 직장동료들과의 관계에 만족한다’의 문항에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 북한이탈주민의 삶의 만족도 영향요인을 살펴본 결과, 남한에서의 학력이 높을수록 삶의 만족도가 더 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 남한주민의 삶의 만족도 영향요인에서는 남한주민의 경제상황이 높을수록 삶의 만족도는 오히려 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해, 남한주민의 건강 만족도 개선방안 마련, 북한이탈주민의 성취욕구 지원, 북한이탈주민의 진학 지원, 남한주민의 경제활동 외 삶 보장, 통합적 마음을 위한 정책적 기획 마련 등의 정책방안을 제안한다.
Abstract
The primary purpose of this study is to examine the perception of the lives of South Korean residents and North Korean refugees living in the same national space called the Republic of Korea (R.O.K.). The results of the study are indicated as follow: First, there were notable difference in the life satisfaction of South Korean residents and North Korean refugees in the survey questions ‘I am satisfied with what I have achieved,’ ‘I am satisfied with my personality,’ ‘I am satisfied with my health condition,’ and ‘I am satisfied with the relationship with my colleagues. Second, when focused on the factors impacting the life satisfaction of North Korean refugees, the life satisfaction was higher when they had a higher level of education in the R.O.K. Third, when focused on the factors impacting the life satisfaction of South Korean residents, the life satisfaction was lower when they were more financially stable. Based on the results, social/ political/economic measures on various issues including the improvement of health satisfaction for South Korean residents, supporting the desire to accomplish of North Korean refugees, supporting education of North Korean refugees, securing various living conditions other than financial stability for South Korean residents, and preparation of policies for unification of minds.
