남북항공협력에 대한 연구- 동·서해상 직항로 신설 노선 제안을 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to examine the possibility of inter-Korean air cooperation centered on the opening of direct flights between the two Koreas and the role of professional civilian pilots in the process. The study is characterized by interdisciplinary and inter-professional studies of North Korea and aviation, North Korean researchers and civilian pilots. This study combines Eastar Jet's direct inter-Korean flight, highly skilled working experience of private pilots, and the South Korean government's inter-Korean aviation cooperation policy to present two major ways to achieve inter-Korean aviation cooperation. Firstly, it proposed a new realistic route in the east and west seas of the two Koreas. Incheon-Samjiyeon and Incheon-Wonsan air route in the East Sea and Pyongyang-Incheon, Incheon-Pyongyang route in the West Sea were proposed that it does not pass through Japan and China’s Flight information Region. Secondly, Considering the international community's economic sanctions against North Korea, in order to improve North Korea's poor aviation security, infrastructure and education, it continued cooperation with aviation-related international organizations such as ICAO and IATA, and proposed the use of skilled civilian pilots in the process.
