청소년소설에 나타난 여자 청소년의 몸과 남성적 시선, 그리고 몸의 주체성

이 글은 여자 청소년의 몸이 남성적 시선과 담론에 의해 ‘보여지는’ 몸 혹은 ‘더렵혀진’ 몸으로 이미지화되는 것의 폭력성, 그리고 성적 대상화에 대한 성찰을 통한 몸의 본래적 가치 인식과 성폭력의 트라우마 극복을 통한 몸의 주체성 인식에 초점을 두어, 청소년소설에 나타난 여자 청소년의 몸에 대한 남성적 시선과 몸의 주체성 문제를 살펴보았다. 여자 청소년의 몸이 남성적 시선과 담론에 의해 ‘보여지는 몸’으로 이미지화되는 것과 그것의 각인은 김혜정의 《다이어트 학교》를 통해 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 여자 청소년들이 날씬한 몸만들기와 이미지화를 위해 어떤 노력을 하는지, 그 과정에서 남성적 가치체계를 내면화하여 자신의 몸을 타자화하여 어떻게 이미지화하는지, 그리고 타자에 의해 규정된 이상적인 몸의 이미지에 대해 어떻게 성찰하는지 등을 확인할 수 있었다. 임신한 여자 청소년의 몸이 ‘더렵혀진’ 것으로 이미지화되는 것은 임태희의 《쥐를 잡자》를 통해 논의되었다. 이 논의를 통해 뱃속의 태아를 ‘쥐’라고 여기면서 자신의 몸이 더렵혀졌다고 인식하는 여자 청소년의 자살에는 남성적 규율과 가치체계에 따른 몸의 이상적 이미지화가 작용했음을 알 수 있었다. 성적 대상화에 대한 성찰을 통한 몸의 본래적 가치 인식은 박현욱의 《동정 없는 세상》을 통해 논의되었다. 이를 통해 여자 친구에게 섹스를 강요하는 남자 청소년의 시선에는 여성의 몸을 성적으로 대상화하는 시선이 깔려있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 남자 청소년이 여자 친구와의 섹스에는 책임이 따르며, 여자 친구의 몸이 성적 대상이 아닌 본래적 가치를 갖는다는 것을 성찰하는 것에는 성주체성의 형성이 토대가 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 여자 청소년이 친족의 성폭력과 그 트라우마를 극복하면서 몸의 주체성을 회복하는 양상은 임태희의 《나는 누구의 아바타일까》를 통해 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 사촌 오빠와 아버지에게 성폭력을 당한 두 여자 청소년이 상호 간의 소통을 통해 분노감이나 자기학대에서 벗어나 점차 자기 몸의 주체성을 성찰하는 것은 남성적 시선이 아닌, 자신의 시선에 의해 몸이 갖는 본래적 가치를 인식하는 그녀 자신의 의지와 태도가 반영되었음을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
The article focused on the violence of a young woman's body being "seen" or "dirty" by her masculine gaze and discourse, and the body's perception of self-reliance through reflection of sexual objectivity and the body's perception of self-reliance through overcoming traumas of sexual violence, and looked at the problems of male eyes and body self-reliance in a young woman's body in a young adult novel. The body of a female teenager is imaged as a 'visible body' by masculine gaze and discourse, and its imprint is viewed through Kim Hye-jeong's 《Diet School. Through this process, we could see how young girls are striving to build and image slim bodies, how they are internalized and imaged their own bodies, and how they reflect on the ideal body image defined by others. Imaging a pregnant female teenager's body as 'dirty' was discussed through a discussion on catching Lim Tae-hee's mouse. Through this discussion, the suicide of a young woman who considers the fetus in her stomach a "rat" and perceives her body to be dirty showed that the body's ideal image was influenced by masculine discipline and the value system. The recognition of the body's original value through reflection on sexual objectification was discussed through Park Hyun-wook's 》unsympathetic world. This shows that the eyes of male teenagers who force their girlfriends to have sex are based on sexual targeting of women's bodies. However, the fact that a teenager is responsible for having sex with a girlfriend and reflect on the fact that her body is of inherent value rather than sexual object shows that the formation of sexuality was the foundation. As a young woman overcame her own sexual violence and trauma, she looked at who Lim Tae-hee's avatar was. This showed that the two young girls who were sexually assaulted by their cousins and their fathers gradually reflected her own will and attitude in recognizing the body's original value by her own eyes, not by her masculine gaze, as she moved away from anger or self-abuse through mutual communication
